About the Company
IndigoFlyer Corporation was founded in 2001 to explore new venues of transportation to satisfy the challenges of business travelers.  Challenges compounded by limited commercial air options between critical business hubs.  After several years of studies, IndigoFlyer in 2007 expanded in developing a 4th tier aviation capability between the cities of the bay area and the Sacramento and central California valley.  The company is in the process to launching the first on-demand, per-set air taxi services using advance SR-22 G3 aircraft.  We are focus to provide the safest and affordable air travel service in the nation.

The Position

You’ll have a work schedule that allows you to return to your home and family every evening.   Pilots are always on the move in state of the art airplanes, with the latest on avionics and safety equipment.  We fly on-demand and per-seat, which mean minimum wait time.  

IndigoFlyer will operate two shifts Monday through Friday. Shifts will be rotated and assignments to aircraft movements will be provide in an equitable fashion. A IndigoFlyer Pilot’s shift will begin and end at that pilot’s home base. Bases will be small to providing for opportunity to create interaction with the company, airport community and other pilots.

IndigoFlyer will launch services in California with operation bases in Sacramento, McClellan Airport and San Jose Reid Hill View.

Qualifications
Because of the planned growth of the IndigoFlyer Fleet, we will be hiring only to the Captain requirements.

IndigoFlyer Pilots must meet the minimum qualifications:

Certificates and ratings:

                Commercial Pilot, Airplane Single Engine Land

                Instrument Rating - Airplane

                FAA Second Class Medical

 

Flight time:

                    1200 hours total time

                    1000 hours pilot in command (airplanes)

                    500 hours cross-country

                    100 hours night

                    100 hours instrument (at least 50 hours actual)

 

Currency:

                 Flight review (14 CFR 61.56(a)) within the past 24 months

                Instrument proficiency (14 CFR 61.57(d)) within the past 12 months

 

Experience:

Flight operations into and out of high density airspace such as that found in and near San Francisco.  Well versed with IFR operations (flight planning, weather briefings, alternates, departure and destination minimums, airport conditions, NOTAMS, Airmets, Sigmets). 

 

No accidents, incidents or violations.  Must pass and participate in an FAA/DOT drug and alcohol prevention program and 10 year background check.
