COMPANY
IndigoFlyer was founded in 2001
to explore new venues of transportation to satisfy the challenges of
business travelers, challenges compounded by limited commercial air
options between critical business hubs. After several years of
studies, IndigoFlyer started developing a 4th tier aviation
capability between the cities of the Bay Area and the Sacramento and
central California valley. The company is in the process of
launching the first on-demand, per-seat air taxi services using
advance high-performance aircraft. Our mission is to provide the
safest, most cost effective on-demand air travel service in the
nation.
AIRPLANES
Our vehicle of choice is the state-of-the-art high performance
Cirrus SR22-G3 4-seat single engine airplane. This aircraft has
safety equipment similar to the equipment in commercial airliners
such as air traffic, weather, and terrain awareness instrumentation,
auto-pilot, and dual-satellite navigation system. The Cirrus
SR22-G3 also has an all aircraft parachute.

PILOTS
Our captains are chosen for their experience and safety record. All
pilots, regardless of experience, are required to complete recurring
safety training over and above that required by industry standards.
Our chief pilot has many years of experience managing air charter
operations and has over 13,000 flight hours in a wide range of
aircraft including single propeller piston aircraft, small and
mid-size business jets, and the DC3. He is a Master CFI, one of
less than 600 out of 91,000 CFI in the US. He is also safety
officer for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Air Squadron and a
Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) for the FAA's Sacramento Flight
Standards District Office (FSDO).
MAINTENANCE
We are working with Mather Aviation to keep our aircraft in the
safest possible operating condition. "Mather Aviation's Factory
Trained Technicians collectively boast over 200 years of
professional experience. Each Technician receives initial training
from FlightSafety and attends annual refresher training to keep them
up-to-date on the latest changes in aircraft maintenance
requirements." Over and above the standard maintenance
rigor, IndigoFlyer has installed advanced engine trend monitoring
equipment on the aircraft. This ETM instrumentation helps us predict maintenance
requirements before they can become a safety concern and
helps our pilots optimize their performance in the safe, efficient
and comfortable operation of the aircraft.
